What agencies do I get to work with?
You will find out which agencies you have been placed at during the program orientation. Placements are made to give interns the most opportunity, variety and exposure.
Can I get college credit?
Sadly, no. COLABORATORY can not be used to get college credit because it is a paid internship. We figure that’s probably cool with you.
Do I get paid?
Yes. You will be paid at the end of the 6-week program. COLABORATORY interns are paid the standard Oregon minimum wage ($8.40/hour) for a 37.5-hour work week.
What can I expect from my time in COLABORATORY?
- Meet tons of Portland Ad Industry professionals.
- Get way more experience than you thought could be crammed into 6 weeks.
- Form great relationships with your agencies and other interns.
- You’ll be working on projects night and weekends. On the plus side, you’ll love it.

What do I need to bring?
You are required to provide your own laptop to participate in the program. The rest is really up to you.
How will I get around in Portland?
Portland has an amazing public transportation system, which you may need to take advantage of to get to your agencies. There is a list of options in the ‘Getting Around’ section under About Portland. However you work it out, showing up late is never an option, so make sure and get your plan together.
