How it
works
You'll live and breathe the real agency lifestyle.
For six weeks, you'll live and breathe the real agency life. Colaboratory's 9 partner agencies will choose their favorite interns, leaving you to work at 2 agencies for 3 weeks each. You'll dig into all sorts of projects, from kickoffs to brainstorms and presentations.
Split into two intern teams, you'll compete on a real client project.
Over the six weeks you'll hone your strategy, creative and presentation to perfection, then pitch it to the client and see who's the best. If it sounds like a reality show, it's probably because it should be one.
Did we mention it's paid?
Yes, with real money. You'll be compensated 37.5 hours a week at the Oregon minimum wage (which is second highest in the US).

Analytical, tech savvy, excited to learn, ready to dip your toes in the water with client/internal projects and mad softball skills is always a plus!

Have a bad attitude, feel entitled. Anvil is a team and we are looking for team players!

What is the worst thing an intern can do?
Interns who don't take initiative to meet others, ask questions, use our team as resources (for the internship project), or show readiness to join the conversation won't succeed in any internship or COLAB.

GB's (very real) spirit animal is the Griffin. The Griffin is the perfect hybrid; two pretty intense/proud/badass animals acting seamlessly as one. These are beasts built for advertising today. The Griffin represents all we value in business: honor, integrity, valor, and fearlessness. Plus they were known for protecting nests made of gold. #bling
Who is your perfect intern?
Michael Scott from Dunder Mifflin (he's looking, right?), this guy, Max Fischer from Rushmore, Kenneth Parcell the NBC page. Anyone who says yes to every opportunity and has a (useful) special talent.
What is the worst thing an intern can do?
Not try hard enough, try too hard, list only skill as "operate fax machine," listen to really bad music, be a racist, be a smelly racist.

The worst thing an intern could do is whine... but we doubt anyone who spends time with us could find reason to be negative. A likelier mistake would to not be expressive enough. COLAB interns don't fit well in boxes. We want talented people who aren't afraid to step outside their comfort zone. Our designers should be good with words and our copywriters should know about strategy. Essentially, we're looking for a human Swiss Army Knife- you've got a lot of different tools, and are always ready to use the one that's best for the job.
Copywriter
You're never at a loss for words. From coming up with the big idea to finding just the right syntax for a sentence, you're passionate and constantly creative. You look past the expected to create unique, delightful moments for your client and their customer to speak.
Account Manager
You're organized, motivated and cool under fire. Great with people, you'll lead and manage the team, keeping strategy, deadlines and expectations all in line. You're fueled by the knowledge that great creative can't go anywhere without business savvy.
Designer
You're an artist. You live and breathe visual design from typography to kerning or painting. You know the value of a color palette, the necessity of white space and can design it all for the web, print and everything in between.
Communications Specialist
